Thanks for your support
»The BMW Group plant in Regensburg can now look back on more than four decades of success. This year, we are celebrating our 40th anniversary and the start of series production in 1986. Since its foundation, the plant has been closely linked to art and culture in the city and the entire region. We are therefore all the more delighted to be supporting RE.LIGHT as a sponsor. At its premiere two years ago, the festival already delighted residents and guests from near and far and impressively demonstrated the fascination that light art can exert.
The “RE.LIGHT Masterclass” is another special format that specifically promotes young artists. The BMW Group plant in Regensburg is providing €5,000 in funding for the two-day workshop led by Regensburg artist Clemens Rudolph. We are looking forward to seeing the resulting works and presentations, which will be shown at the “Leerer Beutel” during the final weekend of the festival.«

»For over 100 years, light and movement have been symbolic of the power of electrical energy. We have been keeping these stable for just as long with our solutions based on Dr. Jansen’s patent for the resistance switch. As a Regensburg-based company with global reach and strong Upper Palatinate roots, we combine the pioneering spirit of the early days of electrification with a vision of a future where electricity powers everything. As a sponsor of RE.LIGHT, we are delighted to support the bridge between medieval world heritage and artistic vision in our home city of Regensburg. We are MR – THE POWER BEHIND POWER.«

»Regensburg shows itself from a particularly radiant side. RE.LIGHT takes the unique backdrop of the old town and its impressive ensemble to a new level and lets the city appear in a very special light.
Light and energy are inextricably linked, and at the same time it is important to us to promote cultural initiatives that are open to many people and enable shared experiences. Since RE.LIGHT takes place in public spaces, the festival is accessible to everyone and can be experienced firsthand. I am very much looking forward to this luminous, colorful cultural event, which heralds the arrival of spring in a special way, and I am sure that in 2026 it will once again generate enthusiasm far beyond the city limits.«

RE.LIGHT is back for its second edition – Light that moves Regensburg
For eleven years, the hotel association has been committed to revitalising the first quarter with great enthusiasm and out of economic reasons. RE.LIGHT is a milestone that we are delighted to support. Facades begin to tell stories, squares become meeting places, familiar paths open up new perspectives. Light touches, inspires, and invites us to pause and marvel—in the heart of our wonderful city of Regensburg. Emotions remain in our memories, become personal stories, and spread by word of mouth.
With the second edition of RE.LIGHT, Regensburg is once again sending a shining signal of vitality and creativity. In a season that is traditionally more than quiet, RE.LIGHT transforms public spaces into a stage for emotions and creates attractions for hotels, retail, gastronomy, and
culture. This brings guests back and opens up new target groups. That’s what we live for. Economic strength enables cultural engagement – RE.LIGHT is a real win-win.
Kathrin Fuchshuber, Chairperson of Regensburg Hotel Association
The Regensburg Hotel Association
In 2013, the cathedral city on the Danube was one of the first cities in Germany to have its own booking portal, which is operated by the hotels themselves. “We now have our own joint and, above all, independent sales channel that makes us visible online,” the initiators from Regensburg state. Hotels and customers both benefit from the portal. The hotels pay no commission – customers always get the best house price. In addition to the booking option, the site provides further information about Regensburg and direct links to the most important tourist facilities. Currently, 36 hotels are organized in the hotel association, of which 19 are old town hotels and 17 are city hotels.
The Regensburg Hotel Association is represented by the board members newly elected in 2023: Kathrin Fuchshuber, AltstadtQuartier Hotel Münchner Hof | Annette Ebmeier, Hotel Orphée | Peter Birnthaler, Hotel Goliath and DOCK1 | Armin Günther, Hotel Elements and Castel-Hotel | Prodromos Hatzifotiou, ibis Styles | Martin Knerr, Hotel St. Georg
